We are looking for a Road Construction Manager for measures on road 165 for the Swedish Transport Administration.

This is a consulting assignment based in Hällevadsholm, Munkedal municipality.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The Construction Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating the assigned area/contract in collaboration with the contractor and under the direction of the client's project manager. The Construction Manager ensures that the contract is planned, quality assured, and executed in accordance with contracts, plans, budgets, regulatory decisions, agreements, and permits. The role involves monitoring the contract, delivering reporting documents, providing technical support to project management, and supporting contracted construction work regarding economy, time, quality, and environment.

Responsibilities

Technical support to project management

Assist in driving progress in the contract

Design and quality support, e.g., provide feedback and assist E in the development of drawings, control programs, work preparations

Manage any deviations

Participate in construction, site, and financial meetings

Contribute to building good relationships with landowners/stakeholders

Coordinate with other technical disciplines

Participate in necessary inspections and assessments

Assist in compiling the final documentation of the project

Requirements (IMPORTANT, mandatory)

Ability to express oneself well in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Experience from working in project groups where coordination has been important.

Driving license B.

At least 3 years of work experience as a construction manager or in a supervisory role such as production manager, site manager, or equivalent in construction/infrastructure projects within Road Construction Manager (land and construction, surfacing, electrical). Work experience should not be older than 10 years.

Knowledge of laws and regulations as well as standards and guidelines within the relevant field.

At least 10 years of work experience from earthworks of excavation (soil/rock) and foundation work, e.g., piling or light filling.

At least 3 years of work experience from construction work where coordination of utility work is included, e.g., electrical/telecommunication/optical channeling.

Work experience from at least 2 assignments where you have worked as a construction manager or in a supervisory role within land/road projects with >50 MSEK in total turnover.

In the role of construction manager, you should have work experience from at least 2 assignments where the following tasks have been performed with good results:

- Drainage measures

- Load-bearing measures

- Landowner contact

- Construction on protected-class road with passing traffic

Completed training to function as the Client's construction work environment coordinator, BAS-P and BAS-U.
